Board our 20 passenger Snow Coach at the former site of the Colorado Belle Placer Mine, approximately 12 miles south of Copper Mountain on Highway 91. Cruise in cozy comfort past a scenic settlement of abandoned log cabins before climbing to the ‘top of the world’ on trails through the forest while enjoying panoramic views overlooking the valley where the Arkansas River originates. Mt. Arkansas is the closest peak, while Mt. Sherman and Mt. Democrat, two of the country’s highest mountains at more than 14,000 feet stand majestically off to the east. Passengers will feel the thrill as the big cat climbs and crawls up to more than 11,500 feet on the crown of the rounded mountain tops. More than 50 mines, remnants of Leadville’s gold and silver boomtown days, are hidden beneath the powder in this private, unspoiled mountain paradise. No high rise condos or hotels will be seen, but keep an eye out for possible wildlife sightings along the route, while your guide gives historic commentary about the area.

During the tour you will have the option to ride a snow bike down gentle slopes in the deep snow high on the mountain. Our guides will offer instruction for guests who choose to participate, while others can watch the fun from the Snow Coach’s large windows. Starbucks Coffee and hot chocolate will be served at our private Yurt, while guests can warm and relax inside or gather on the large deck to enjoy enchanting views of Mt. Elbert and Mt. Massive to the south past the picturesque mining town of Leadville.

We can arrange special tours for any occasion. Ask for a personalized quote for all day or half day private tours with box lunches, pastries or deserts. Reserve the whole snow cat for any of our tour times. Give us an idea; we’ll quote a price and make it happen.

Ask about a custom Four Hour Snow Coach Tour with unlimited snowbiking runs and a delicious box lunch in our cozy yurt. Passengers 7 and over are $225.00. This exciting adventure includes complimentary round-trip transportation from the local area. The big cat will cruise up to 12,000 feet with fabulous views and deep champagne powder just waiting for your group. Play hard in this private paradise with friends or family. Minimum of 10 adults is required to book.

What to Wear

Dress warm as you would for any outdoor adventure. Ski clothes, gloves, snowsuits, insulated boots, hats and sunglasses are appropriate. Bring bottled water or a snack if desired.

Don’t forget your camera.

Cancellation Policy:
Reservations should be made at least 24 hours in advance to hold your seat. We require a credit card at time of booking. Cancellations less than 24 hours prior to departure will charged 100% of the tour price. Changes to any reservation requested less than 24 hours prior to tour will be charged $25.00 per person rescheduling fee if space is available at another time. Changes to group tours must be made at least 72 hours prior to tour time.

All guests will be required to sign a standard liability waiver at check-in.
